The Habersham County Republican Party Announces Their 2nd Annual "Support the 2nd Amendment" Raffle

The Habersham County Republican Party announced today that they are conducting a fundraiser, a raffle called "Support the 2nd Amendment". Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased from any HCRP member. The Grand Prize will be a Remington Model 700 SPS Tactical ACC-SD Bolt Action Rifle in .308 caliber, a 2nd Place Prize of a $200 VISA Gift Card and a 3rd Place Prize of a $50 Longhorn Steakhouse Gift Certificate. The drawing will be held on July 8 during the regular July monthly meeting. You do not need to be present to win, but winners must be at least 21 years old. Certain other restriction apply. The Habersham County Republican Party Announces Candidates Qualified for County Offices

The Habersham County Republican Party announces that the following candidates qualified for election to County Offices during the 2014 election cycle as of 12:00 PM Friday, March 7, 2014:

Habersham County Board of Commissioners:

District 2 -            Andrea Harper (Incumbent) and Joe Clarke

District 3 -            Victor Anderson

Habersham County Board of Education:

District 3 -            Russ Nelson

District 4 -            Rick Williams (Incumbent) and Kevin Gaddis

District 5 -            Patsy Taylor (Incumbent) and Sherry Donnelly

The Habersham County Republican Party Announces Qualifying for County Offices

February 14, 2014

The Habersham County Republican Party announced today that it will hold qualifying of County Offices for the upcoming 2014 Election cycle. Qualifying will be from March 3 to March 7 at the Community Bank & Trust building in Clarkesville on Washington Street. Hours to qualify are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM March 3 to March 6 and 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on March 7th. Seats up for election are Board of Commissioners (Districts 2 & 3) and Board of Education (Districts 3, 4 and 5). Qualifying fees are $288 for both Board of Commissioners seats and $157 for Board of Education District 3 and 4 and $162 for District 5. Interested candidates are encouraged to contact the Republican Party or the Habersham County Board of Elections for further information.

The Habersham County Republican Party announces the winner of their fundraiser; "Support the 2nd Amendment" Raffle, Mr. Joe Hatfield. The drawing for the grand prize took place on Tuesday, October 8th, at the GOP's monthly meeting held at the Ruby C. Fulbright Aquatic Center in Clarkesville. Featured guest speaker, Karen Handel, Senatorial Candidate for US Senate from GA, was given the honor of drawing the winners name. HCRP Chairman Carl Blackburn would like to thank everyone who helped make the fundraiser such a great success and to especially thank the Foxhole Guns &Archery Store who provided the prizes. The Grand Prize will be an AR-15, extra magazines and ammo. The drawing will be held on October 8 during the regular October monthly meeting. You do not need to be present to win. Must be 21 years old to win. Certain other restriction apply. See details under the "Get Involved" section of the Party's website www.habershamgop.org.

The Habersham County Republican Party Honors Former Chairman Bob Guthrie

The Habersham County Republican Party honored Bob Guthrie at their August 13, 2013 meeting for his service and dedication to the party. Bob served 2, two year terms as chairman of the party, March 2009-2011 and March 2011-2013. Shown in the picture is current Habersham County Republican Party Chairman Carl Blackburn presenting Bob with a plaque expressing the party's appreciate of Bob's service.
